OUYE FAMILY HISTORY:
A LEGACY OF INTEGRITY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The Ouye family's history is a powerful narrative of ambition, integrity, and success in the American landscape. The Ouye family has built a substantial presence in the Manufactured Housing Community management industry, drawing from their rich Japanese heritage and profound entrepreneurial spirit.

The family patriarch, Noble Ouye, laid the groundwork for this legacy. Noble's relentless work ethic and determination saw him rise to become a self-made millionaire. Noble purchased his first Manufactured Housing Community in 1970 – Silver CreekEstates. This park, originally with 240 spaces, has since expanded, reflecting the growth and adaptability central to the Ouye family’s approach.

By 1970, Noble, together with his brother Hershey, established N&H Property Management, while further expanding the family’s holdings with the acquisition and management of three additional Manufactured Housing Communities in Northern and Southern California.

​

Following Hershey's passing in 1980, Lee and Noble formed N&L Management, which they successfully ran for 40 years. It was during this time that Lee acquired the crown jewel of their endeavors, Casa de Amigos. Situated in Sunnyvale, California, at the heart of Silicon Valley, this 105-acre park boasts 920 spaces, epitomizing the success and scale of their operations.

The legacy continues with Sean Nobuo Ouye, who grew up shadowing his father and grandfather in the family business. From an early age, Sean was involved in the operations, learning each aspect of the business, from maintenance to management. Hoku Management, Inc., established in 2021, has thrived under Sean’s tutelage. Through Hoku Management, Sean successfully manages $700 million in assets, including five mobile home parks that span Northern and Southern California and three commercial properties.

The Ouye family's journey from humble beginnings to industry leaders is not just a story of business success but a testament to the enduring values that guide them. Each generation, from Noble to Sean, has carried forward a legacy of honor, respect, and unwavering commitment to excellence, ensuring their family name remains synonymous with integrity and success in the mobile home park industry.
